Big Government = Big Problems........Big Labor, Big problems

Ever heard the phrase, " I love my country, but don't trust my government!" I think that this is so very true and even more today than ever. Big government spendings and our politicians weak excuses for these over priced programs is pathetic. I know that I'm not alone on this belief either. But I've excepted the fact I can't change it. the question should be have local unions run soft or have expensive lawyers taken over?

I am a local 28 sheetmetal worker,I.A. Member and like so many of my brothers and some sisters we look for work on our own,We also put ourself on this work referral hall system where parity doesn't exist and members get bypassed due to very expensive lawyers that are running the big show that have taken over paid by the members of local #28.I don't know if any other local unions have this problem? Union Gone Soft?

I was recently @ a meeting where the organizer said that our old approach of non-unions as our "enemies" was not working and that we needed to try to work with them more. That fighting them wasn't working. I look back at how the times have changed and the unions aren't as strong as they were 30+ yrs ago. In my opinion, we have gotten soft. does anyone know how to find upcoming large industrial or commercial projects? it seems alot of them are going non-union,especially in southern states.
